Student Clubs and organizations are secondary school student-initiated and non curriculum-related groups and student curriculum-related groups. Clubs and groups are organized by students and a staff sponsor is assigned to each group to monitor meetings. School Board Policy 504.2.

Win With Wellness
Sponsor:  Cam Stockman
This club is open to any junior or senior. The purpose of this organization is to educate fellow students on the 7 dimensions of wellness. This group is student driven and typically meets every other week.

Running Club
Sponsor: Jane Astor
This group is open to any student or community member who enjoys running. It meets in the Tiffin parking lot Mon., Wed., and Friday mornings during the summer at 7:00am. In the winter they also have activities, but they meet in the evenings instead.

Academic Decathlon
Sponsor: Kris Morlan
This is an academic competition that takes place in the winter. It is open to any student interested. There are three different levels of competition based on grade point averages. Every year there are ten categories to study (like art, music, literature, social studies) which all revolve around a yearly theme.

National Honor Society

In order to be a member of NHS a student must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Juniors are approached in February if they qualify. Members have to complete required community service hours in order to remain a member.

ACE Mentor
Sponsor: Steve Clark
The ACE Mentor Program is open to any high school student who has the curiosity and drive to learn about a career in design and construction. As a participant, you will join a team of other students led by adult mentors who are practicing industry professionals. ACE is not about merely describing specific professions; it is about immersing you in the actual profession. Students in the CCA district will have the opportunity to design and build a structure to be located at the CCA middle school.

Student Assistance Team/Rotary Interact
Sponsor: Mark Hovey 
SAT is available for all students once they have been in the district for a semester. This group focuses on community volunteerism and helping new students and their parents feel welcome in the district.  Rotary Club of Coralville/North Corridor sponsors the CCA Interact Club as a joint organization with the SAT. Interactors may develop a network of friendships with local and overseas clubs and learn the importance of developing leadership skills, personal integrity, respect for others and other values.

Student Council

In order to be part of student council a student must apply and be elected by his/her peers. There are 6 members from every grade level. Student council is responsible for planning homecoming, blood drives, Halloween activities, bunny hopping at Easter, etc. It is a great way to become involved in the school.

German Club

This club organizes exchanges between CCA and a partner school in Perleberg, Germany. Every two years students from Germany come here for two weeks and CCA students go to Germany for two weeks. German club organizes this.

Prom Committee

Prom committee is open to any junior who would like to help plan prom and grand march. This planning would include the creation of the theme, decorations, & favors.

Students Acting For the Environment is available for all students to participate. This group recycles paper/newspapers from the building once a week. They also host activities for National Recycling Day and Earth Day.

Jazz Band
Sponsor: John Smith
Jazz Band is a small ensemble which studies and performs jazz music at concerts and throughout the community. This band also competes in various festivals in the state. Membership is open only to current high school band members and are required to be at all rehearsals and performances.

Pep Band

The Pep Band is comprised of those students who wish to support CCA sports teams in the winter months. They perform at a variety of basketball games. Music for this for this group covers a wide variety of styles such as Latin, Rock, and Jazz.

Sponsor: Tracy Williams
A musical is performed every year at Clear Creek Amana. Students may try-out for acting roles, but there are other aspects available such as scene painting, costuming and make-up, promotions and fundraising, as well as lights and sound. There is something for everyone interested in fine arts!

Show Choir

Show Choir is a mixed ensemble that combines the movement of dance and singing to perform a variety of music. This group performs for State contest, Show Choir competitions, and community groups. Membership is open to those students who are currently enrolled in the vocal music department. Auditions are held each year. Membership is not required for those wishing to be in the show band or stage crew.

High School Play

Every year the high school has a play. If a student is interested in the fine arts, there is usually a part for them, whether it be directing, designing, painting, or acting.

Speech Team
Sponsor: Christine Maas 
Speech is a competitive extra-curricular activity that takes place in two seasons, Large Group and Individual. Any student interested in drama, public speaking or just improving his/her communication skills in a fun environment is welcome to join.

Art Club
Sponsor: Mary Pat Hanson-Karstens
This organization is available for all students interested in art. Members are encouraged to create art before & after school. Art Club does community service by hosting art nights for elementary students and fundraise as well in order to take trips every year. Trips in the past have been to New York and Chicago!
