The Clear Creek Amana Community School District did not have to look far to add a new Elementary Principal.  Brian Williams, currently the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the CCA School District, will become the new Principal of the, soon to be named, 4-5 Elementary Building under construction near the Tiffin Elementary building.

“This was certainly a tough decision, as I really like my current position in the district”, said Williams.  “But, getting the opportunity to be the principal in a 4-5 setting is truly a dream job for me.  I look forward to working with students, staff, and parents.”

“We are excited to have Brian move into the 4-5 Principal role for the 19-20 school year”, said Superintendent Tim Kuehl. “He has done a tremendous job building on the Professional Learning Community (PLC) and Teacher Leadership & Compensation (TLC) work at CCA and will be fantastic at applying that work by continuing to serve as a leader and model in his role as principal. Brian's organizational and communication skills, along with his strong knowledge of best instructional practices and demonstrated leadership abilities throughout his career and at CCA make him a great fit for this role.”

Brian has a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Buena Vista University and a Master’s and Specialist Degree in Education Leadership from Minnesota State University, Mankato. His experience includes being a special education teacher, Head Girls Cross Country and Track Coach, a Principal at both secondary and elementary levels, Curriculum Director and a demonstrated leader building initiatives throughout his K-12 roles in education.

Advertising and a search for Brian's replacement as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction will begin the fall of 2018. Brian's growth in this role, along with the hard work of the CCA staff, will make this a very desirable position for quality candidates.
