The CCA School District is also excited to welcome Mrs. Alyssa Amelon as the Ag Education Teacher and FFA advisor for the High School and Middle School. Mrs. Amelon is currently teaching in the Keota School District and will be joining CCA this summer.

Amelon AlyssaMrs. Amelon grew up on a small farm in southeast Iowa. Alyssa attended Iowa State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Education with teaching endorsements in the areas of Agriculture, Biological Science and Agribusiness. In 2013, Alyssa started her career as an Agriculture Educator and FFA Advisor at North Mahaska High school. Alyssa joined the Keota teaching staff in 2015 as the Keota Jr. /Sr. High Agricultural Educator and FFA Advisor. Alyssa educates seventh through twelfth grade students in the areas of animal science, plant science and construction trades. In December 2016 Alyssa started her master’s in Educational Leadership and Administration through Drake University. She will complete her master’s program in December 2018. Alyssa is excited to join the CCA family this next school year. 

Alyssa will do a great job launching the new Agriculture Education program here at CCA.
