  • Clipper Basketball Club Registration Opens October 5th

    Date:  October 5th - October 26th

    Parents,

Thank you for your interest in the Clipper Basketball Club. We are excited to be starting a new an exciting option for our elementary aged basketball players at CCA. Please read through the following information prior to registration.

Registration will open Friday October 5th and close Friday October 26th. All registrations must be submitted to the club via mail. Mail completed forms to

    Clipper Basketball Club
    c/o Brandon Clubb
    402 Dogwood Ln
    Tiffin, Ia 52340

The 2018 – 2019 Season will consist of two separate divisions, as follows: 5th grade boys 6th grade boys. Any existing teams that would like to be grandfathered in may do so, or wait until the club expands next year. Please contact the Clipper Basketball Club if you are interested in this option.

Tryouts: Tryouts and team placement will be determined once there is a better idea of how many kids sign up. Teams for these age groups will be created on the number of participants, number of coaches, and skill level. Every effort will be made to have no more than 10 players on a team. Players will have equal opportunity to earn playing time. Time in these age groups is not based on equality but rather at the coaches' discretion based on skill level, effort, attendance, strength of opponent, etc., but each player will be given playing time on each day of competition. If there are multiple teams they will be divided by skill level (i.e. A and B teams) and practices will be grade level and team practices. The coaches of these age groups will seek out leagues and tournaments in the Eastern Iowa area but may look for tournaments anywhere in the Midwest.

Practices. This is a competitive and skill development program. Each athlete is expected to attend team practices each week, unless excused in advanced by the coach. Each player is expected to practice individual skills taught by the CBC coaches / trainers on their own time to help further develop their skills. Each player is expected to be on time to practices and games. Absence has a great effect on a child's and team’s ability to improve and be successful.

Costs: All Fees are non-refundable $50 per player

Cost includes: club registration, team placement, 2 free basketball clinics hosted by the CBC, free t shirt. Additional Club Costs: Please note that each participant will also be responsible for a uniform fee (approx $40), tournament fees to be split among team members, additional gym rental costs.
