Policies for checking out library materials:

ALL Amana Elementary students come to the library to check out books every Wednesday.

Students may have between one to six books checked out at a time. The amount available for checkout will depend on the student's grade level.

  • Kindergarten and first-grade students may check out one book at a time. These students are allowed to have two books checked out at a time.
  • Second, through fifth-grade students may check out three books at a time. These students are allowed to have up to six books checked out a time.

Books can be checked out for two weeks and renewed for an additional seven days if necessary.

Students may not check out anything new (or renew another item) if they have something that is overdue.

These policies are designed to help students return books on time so that they are not lost. The library staff appreciates everyone's efforts in getting materials returned to the library on time.
